Hi I have a disabled parking badge and I was wondering if I can use it to park free of charge outside the grand hotel in scarborough and if so how long may I use it for as I am staying in the hotel for 2 nights. If you can get back to me that would be appreciated.
Hi,
The Grand Hotel has no car parking facilities at all and ALL nearparking bays are subject to availability as they are all operated Scarborough District Council, if you have a national recognised disabled disc, no fee is payable for these spaces.
You can load and unload for a limited time in the hotels loading bay area at the front of the hotel.
Hi
Do they have to be designated dissabled parking bays to use a blue badge outside the grand hotel.
if I buy a parking ticket at filey would I be able to use at Whitand scarborough with out paying any more for one trip please
I want to know that if I buy a parking ticket can I use it Whitfiley robin hoods bay please
Yes you can but only if you buy a ticket from a long stay car park. All long stay car park tickets are transferable around Filey, Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Sandsend.
You would need to buy a parking ticket in Filey from a long stay car park, you can then use this ticket in any other long stay car park in the borough.
Hello can you tell me where the nearest 24 hour car park is located nearest to the Grand Hotel. Cost and postcode would be appreciated too please.
Regards
Jan
There is a car park directly outside the Grand Hotel which is a short stay, however it is £5 for 6 hours parking between the hours of 9am and 6pm. So if you park up at 12pm you can pay for 6 hours and leave your car there over night until 9am. The car park outside the Grand Hotel (YO11 2ET) does get very busy, another car park that is close is St Thomas Street (YO11 1DY) and the same prices apply. The closest 24 hour car park would be Eastborough (YO11 1NH) or West Pier (YO11 1PB) or Friars Way (YO11 1HN) and the prices for these car parks are £6.50 for 25 hours parking.
Hope This helps.
Hi the underground car park at Scarborough was closed on both Tuesday and Wednesday this week when we tried to park when visiting, hoping this isn’t a permanent thing?
This is not a permanent thing, it was closed because part of the roof collapsed. The Underground car park is now back in use all year round as normal.
