In Scarborough, North Yorkshire, parking meters are not universally free during the winter. However, there are several options for free parking, especially during certain times of the day.

    Free On-Street Parking:
Disc zones offer free parking after 5 pm daily, before 9 am Monday to Saturday, and before 12 pm on Sundays. Streets with free parking during these times include Prince of Wales Terrace, Montpellier Terrace, Esplanade Gardens, North Marine Road, Queen’s Parade, Victoria Park, and Peasholm Drive.

    Free Car Parks:
Marine Drive: Free from 6 pm to 9 am.
Albion Road Car Park: Free from 6 pm to 9 am.
Eastborough Car Park: Free from 6 pm to 9 am.
Friar’s Way Car Park: Free from 6 pm to 9 am.
North Terrace Car Park: Free from 6 pm to 9 am.
Sea Cliff Road Car Park: Offers free parking all day, limited to 3 hours.

    Park & Ride:
The Filey Road and Seamer Road Park & Ride sites allow for free parking, with buses running to the town center every 15 minutes.

    Specific Days and Festive Periods:
Free parking is available during specific days around the festive season in certain car parks (Free Parking Spots UK).

These options provide a variety of free parking solutions in Scarborough during the winter months, primarily during evenings and early mornings. For detailed information, you can visit local council websites or parking guides specific to Scarborough.
